Editorial Policy

Last updated: September 2026

At Savvy Garager, our reputation is built on trust, genuine workshop experience, and uncompromising editorial integrity. We believe readers deserve straightforward, battle-tested information free from manufacturer PR spin.

Our Editorial Principles

1. Independent, Hands-On Vetting

We do not recommend products based on marketing press releases or spec sheets. Whenever we recommend a tool chest, floor coating, overhead storage rack, or ventilation fan, our evaluations are grounded in real-world workshop conditions — considering ease of installation, durability under heavy mechanical use, long-term fatigue, and value for money.

2. No Paid Reviews or Sponsored Bias

We do not accept payment, free promotional gifts with strings attached, or editorial oversight from manufacturers in exchange for positive reviews. If a tool or storage system is flimsy, dangerous, or overpriced, we will tell you bluntly.

3. Strict Separation Between Editorial and Advertising

Our editorial team operates with total autonomy. Affiliate partnerships and advertising relationships have zero influence over which products are featured, how they are ranked, or what ratings they receive.

4. Fact-Checking and Corrections Policy

Building codes, electrical standards, and manufacturing specs evolve. We regularly audit and update our published guides to reflect modern standards. If you spot an error, technical oversight, or outdated specification in any of our guides, please notify us immediately at contact@savvygarager.com. We review all verified corrections within 48 hours.
